IWCE 2016: NetMotion Wireless to Discuss FirstNet Hot-Buttons: Local Control, Prioritization and Always-On Connectivity

SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwired - Mar 14, 2016) -

Joe Savarese, CTO and Steve Fallin, Senior Product Manager, NetMotion Wireless, will address critical FirstNet opportunities and challenges during two panel sessions at the International Wireless Communications Expo (IWCE) 2016 in Las Vegas, March 21-25.

Savarese, a founding executive of NetMotion Wireless, brings 35 years of experience in the wireless communications industry and is one of the original architects of the company's flagship product NetMotion Mobility. Fallin has extensive experience in network security product and program management and is responsible for driving the strategic direction, feature roadmap, and go-to-market programs for Mobility. NetMotion Mobility, trusted by approximately 80 percent of U.S. state and city public safety organizations, keeps first responders connected to the applications they depend on in mobile environments.

Public safety agencies across the nation are planning for the eventual rollout of FirstNet, the first high-speed, nationwide wireless broadband network dedicated to public safety. At IWCE, NetMotion experts will answer tough questions around local control and network prioritization as well as share how to fortify this interoperable platform with "always-on" connectivity, visibility, security and control.

In "Prioritization on Commercial Networks?" Fallin will join panelists from Verizon, Rivada Networks and Kodiak to analyze the possibility of commercial carriers prioritizing traffic for critical communications use. In "Priority, Pre-emption and QoS: Local Control of FirstNet" Savarese will join panelists from Ericsson and FirstNet to explain the importance of and options for staying in control of FirstNet technologies.
