IWG Achieves AS9100 Quality Standard Certification

BURNABY, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 24, 2006) - International Water-Guard Industries Inc. (IWG) (TSX VENTURE:IWG) is pleased to announce that it has received its Certificate of Registration for achieving the AS9100 Quality Management System standard.

"Quality management is one of the keys to being a credible supplier to the aerospace industry," said David Fox, IWG's President and CEO. "We had a good quality management system in place before AS9100, and we were regularly audited by aircraft manufacturers and regulators, but the registration process has taken us that extra step. Ultimately, this helps consolidate our position as the world's leading provider of aircraft water treatment and systems solutions."

The AS9100 standard specifies the quality management system requirements for suppliers to the aerospace industry. The standard supplements ISO 9001 by addressing the additional expectations of the aerospace industry.

Implementation of the quality management practices within AS9100 enables an aerospace supplier to consistently provide products that meet both customer and regulatory requirements. The standard also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through effective quality management, including processes for continual improvement and the assurance of conformity.

International Water-Guard is a Canadian aerospace company focusing on aircraft potable water treatment and full water system solutions. IWG has expertise in all aspects of water treatment, and has the products and know-how to provide high quality water for passengers and crew, and light weight, space saving solutions for the aircraft operator.
