Ixia Completes Acquisition of VeriWave

VeriWave Product Line Extends Ixia's End-to-End WLAN and Wi-Fi Testing Capabilities

CALABASAS, CA--(Marketwire - Jul 18, 2011) - Ixia (NASDAQ: XXIA), the leading, global provider of converged IP and wireless network test solutions, announced today that it has completed the acquisition of VeriWave, a performance testing company for wireless LAN (WLAN) and Wi-Fi enabled smart devices.

As increasing customer access demands and quality of experience (QoE) expectations create the need for seamless mobility -- and bandwidth-intensive applications are forcing service providers to use Wi-Fi traffic offload -- equipment manufacturers, enterprises, and carriers are looking for end-to-end solutions that completely test converged Wi-Fi, wired, and 3G/4G ecosystems.
