Izard Nobel LLP Announces Class Action Lawsuit Against Coach, Inc.

WEST HARTFORD, CT--(Marketwire - April 15, 2009) - The law firm of Izard Nobel LLP, which has significant experience representing investors in prosecuting claims of securities fraud, announces that a lawsuit seeking class action status has been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York on behalf of those who purchased the publicly traded securities of Coach, Inc. ("Coach" or the "Company") (NYSE: COH) between January 23, 2007 and October 22, 2007, inclusive (the "Class Period").

The Complaint charges that Coach and certain of its officers and directors violated federal securities laws. Specifically, the Complaint alleges that during the Class Period, defendants reported strong growth for the Company and forecast similar growth going forward. However, defendants failed to disclose that the Company's growth rate was, in fact, unsustainable. Then, on October 23, 2007, before the market opened, Coach announced that although its fiscal first-quarter profit rose 23%, traffic in its U.S. retail stores was weak and the Company expected a slow-down in the coming holiday season. On this news, Coach's stock price dropped $4.87 per share (or 12%) to close at $36.60 per share on October 23, 2007.

If you are a member of the class, you may, no later than June 15, 2009, request that the Court appoint you as lead plaintiff of the class. A lead plaintiff is a class member that acts on behalf of other class members in directing the litigation. Although your ability to share in any recovery is not affected by the decision whether or not to seek appointment as a lead plaintiff, lead plaintiffs make important decisions, which could affect the overall recovery for class members.
