J-Pac Medical Adds Diagnostic and Device Industry Veterans to Management Team

William Morrison and Blake Perkins Join J-Pac Medical

SOMERSWORTH, NH--(Marketwired - May 20, 2014) - J-Pac Medical, a trusted provider of innovative, high quality, market-ready solutions customized to meet the needs of medical device and diagnostics customers, today announced the appointments of William (Billy) Morrison as vice president of manufacturing operations and Blake Perkins as director of diagnostic business development. The addition of Morrison and Perkins follows the recent announcement of the company's new Innovation Services Group, which provides a forum for J-Pac Medical engineers to collaborate with industry R&D and product development teams.

"We continue to make investments that strengthen our position as a full-service outsourcing partner. With the addition of Billy and Blake, we are better able to assist our customers with product development, manufacturing, and supply chain management," said Mark Florence, president and CEO of J-Pac Medical.

Prior to joining J-Pac Medical, William Morrison served as director of manufacturing and manufacturing engineering at Saint Jude Medical and director of manufacturing operations for Class III devices at Advanced Bionics (formerly of Boston Scientific). He holds an MBA from Rivier College and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Lowell.

"After an exhaustive nationwide search, we are excited to welcome Billy Morrison to the J-Pac Medical team. Billy is respected throughout the industry for his manufacturing and quality engineering leadership. As we further penetrate the surgical implant, diagnostic and medical device markets, Billy's expertise will become invaluable to our customers and business partners," said Florence.

Prior to joining J-Pac Medical, Blake Perkins held various leadership positions at Becton Dickinson, ACON Laboratories, Parlex Corporation, Hybritech/Beckman Coulter and Boston Biomedical Consultants. Perkins holds a BS in Biological Sciences from the University of California, San Diego and an MBA from Boston University. In his new position, Perkins will be responsible for cultivating business development opportunities within the in-vitro diagnostic market. He will be based in San Clemente, California.

"As we broaden our frangible seal and reagent blister capabilities, we are experiencing an influx of business from point-of-care OEMs who are either developing new methods or expanding on existing platforms. The addition of Blake to the team allows us to engage customers on a highly technical level, in order to assist them in the transition from design to full scale manufacturing," said Florence.
