Jack Bamberger Joins appssavvy as Chief Client Officer

Recognized Media Leader Brings More Than 25 Years of Experience to appssavvy, Including Holding Previous Senior Positions at Katalyst, Bertelsmann and Time Warner

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - November 22, 2010) - appssavvy (, a company that connects brands to people through social activities performed across apps, web and mobile, today announced Jack Bamberger as chief client officer (CCO), a newly created position. In his new position as CCO, Bamberger is leading appssavvy's account management, sales and marketing teams.

Bamberger joins appssavvy from Katalyst, a studio for social media founded by Ashton Kutcher and Jason Goldberg. At Katalyst, he led all new business and account management efforts, and created successful and award-winning social media marketing, programming experiences and networks for an array of leading companies and brands, including Kellogg, Mountain Dew, Nestle, Microsoft and Warner Bros., to name a few.

Bamberger's 25 years of experience includes serving Meredith Corporation in a number of leadership positions, including chief innovation officer of Meredith 360, a strategic, client-focused sales and marketing organization. Among his numerous achievements at Meredith, namely working with the company's top 80 advertisers on large-scale integrated advertising and marketing campaigns, Bamberger was named to the 2008 Mediaweek 50 as one of the most indispensable executives shaping the future of media.

Previously, he held senior positions at Gruner + Jahr USA, a division of Bertelsmann, and, part of PRIMEDIA, and spent nearly a decade at Time Warner driving sales and marketing for The Parenting Group and Sports Illustrated.

Bamberger is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia's School of Journalism.
