Jack Layton to Attend Windfall Ecology Festival in Newmarket

Attention: Environment Editor, Home/Garden Editor, Health/Medical Editor, Lifestyle Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor NEWMARKET, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 1, 2005) - The Windfall Ecology Festival, which takes place at Fairy Lake Park in Newmarket is drawing attention from many sources. Jack Layton, federal leader of the NDP, will attend the festival on the afternoon of Saturday, June 11th. "This is a natural fit for the NDP," says Ed Chudak, the NDP candidate in Newmarket-Aurora "as the NDP has been working hard for people and the environment in this session of parliament." Layton is expected to address the festival at 3:30 p.m.

There are over 90 exhibitors offering education, entertainment and conservation tips at the festival. Admission is free.

The Windfall Ecology Centre is a non-profit organization whose mission is to build sustainable communities by conserving resources, preventing pollution, and protecting and enhancing natural ecological process.
