Jacksonville Hotel Helps Raise Awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

CHARLESTON, SC--(Marketwired - Nov 14, 2014) - Fairfield Inn & Suites Jacksonville West/Chaffee Point lent a helping hand in an effort to help raise awareness and benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society this November. The Jacksonville FL hotel volunteered for the Light the Night Walk which took place on November 6^th and helped raise funds that will benefit research and patient support.

The Light the Night Walk is a fundraiser for research to help advance therapies and treatments that are saving lives every day. Its funds provide patient support services, advocacy for lifesaving treatments and the most promising cancer research anywhere. The event took place at Jacksonville Landing and the hotel had three representatives from the property working the event and volunteering their time. Throughout the night, the staff worked to set up food and t-shirt stations, as well as distribute food, water, and t-shirts to all of the walkers.

The night was part of an ongoing effort from the Fairfield Inn & Suites Jacksonville West/Chaffee Point hotel in FL to give back to the community on a regular basis. The hotel's "Rally Around Jax" community service program calls on associates to pitch in on a diverse range of philanthropic projects. In October, team members joined forces with Habitat for Humanity (HabiJax) to spruce up an existing home in Jacksonville. The hotel's associates spent the day tearing down two dilapidated sheds, and repairing the siding of the home.
