Jacobs Receives Contract as Project/Program Manager for McAllen Independent School District Bond Program

PASADENA, Calif.--(CCNMatthews - Oct 18, 2005) -

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that a subsidiary company was selected by the McAllen (Texas) Independent School District to provide project and program management services for their $97.8 million bond program.

Officials did not disclose the contract value.

The program involves several new structures including schools, a central food preparation facility, and maintenance and operations buildings as well as repairs and renovations to existing facilities. Jacobs is providing program execution planning, bid packaging and procurement, project controls, design and construction phase management, and coordination of facility commissioning and turnover.

In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President Warren Dean stated, "We are delighted to work with McAllen Independent School District in their critical endeavor to relieve overcrowding and upgrade facilities. We understand the magnitude and importance of this program and we are confident we can help satisfy the needs of this community well into the future."
