Jacobs Receives Data Collection Services Subcontract for U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center

ABERDEEN PROVING GROUND, Md.--(CCNMatthews - Aug 16, 2005) -

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that a subsidiary company received a subcontract from the U.S. Army to provide data collection services to the U.S. Army's Aberdeen Test Center at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Md.

The five-year contract, with a total value of $88 million, took effect August 1, 2005.

Under this contract, Jacobs is serving as a major subcontractor to Science and Technology Corporation. Jacobs' primary areas of responsibility include data collection and coordination functions; data compilation; technical writing and editing; data transcription and processing; help desk and computer operations; and review and reporting on extensive testing on a wide variety of automotive, combat, electronic, and ordnance equipment and materials.

In making the announcement, Jacobs President Craig Martin stated, "We are very pleased to extend our relationship with the U.S. Army. This contract represents a significant opportunity to continue supporting the Army's Aberdeen Proving Ground, where we currently serve as a prime contractor providing test and evaluation support for a broad spectrum of equipment from concept to development in the lifecycle."
