Jade Selects Wavelink Avalanche for Managed Services Offering to Its Customers

Leading Mobility Solution Provider in the UK Offers Mobile Device Management as a Managed Service, Exclusively Using Wavelink Avalanche

SALT LAKE CITY, UT--(Marketwire - March 10, 2011) - Wavelink Corporation (www.wavelink.com) today announced its managed service offerings are being added to the software portfolio for Jade (jadeonline.co.uk), an enterprise mobility solution provider in Europe. Jade will offer Wavelink Avalanche Managed Services as the exclusive managed services offering for mobile device management to its customers.

Avalanche Managed Services eliminates the setup, monitoring and day-to-day administration of the wireless enterprise. This fully managed service takes the pressure off companies to deploy servers and maintain the system themselves, yet provides all the benefits of ensuring their devices are secure and managed efficiently.

Jade takes care of the set up, configuration and monitoring of all the components of the wireless enterprise, such as mobile devices, wireless printers and access points. This removes the administrative responsibility and capital expenditures of purchasing a solution from customers so they can focus on other aspects of their business. Jade is also using Avalanche Managed Services to provide customers with a managed demo period of its Unified Mobility Platform, Jump, enabling the end user to see how Jade's Jump solution works and helping them to gain confidence in their decision. If a problem occurs during the demo period, Jade's support technicians can quickly and easily review the situation and provide the customer with a solution.

"We thoroughly evaluated all the mobile device management solutions on the market, and Wavelink definitely provided the most complete solution for our customers," said Mark Brackley, managing director of Jade. "The key factors for us were the depth of the management features, the ability to manage devices from any major vendor including smartphones and tablets, and the integration of mobile printer management. We already have a few customers in a pilot stage and have widespread interest from both our existing customer base and from potential new customers."

Jade has more than 20 years experience as an enterprise mobility solution provider. The company has customers in retail, logistics and field services and specializes in enterprise mobility, mobility software application development, printing and media, structured cabling and technical services.

John Martin, director of Wavelink EMEA region, added, "Jade is a strong partner for us. They have a lot of expertise in mobile device management and extensive knowledge of Wavelink Avalanche. We are confident they will be successful in supporting their customers through managed services and helping them to be more productive and efficient with their mobile infrastructure."

Wavelink and Jade are both exhibiting next week at the Retail Business Technology Expo in London in booths #736 and #239 respectively.
