JAG Is Active on Its Polymetallic Property of St-Robert

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 14, 2011) - Les Mines J.A.G. Ltée («JAG»)(TSX VENTURE:JML) presents and update on the ongoing exploration works, since the spring 2011 on its St-Robert Property, located close to the village of St-Robert-Bellarmin, some 40 km west of Lake Mégantic in the Appalachian region of Québec.

The 100% JAG owned St-Robert property hosts many quartz veins and carbonates rich in poly-metallic sulfides (Pb, Zn, Ag, Cu, W, Sb, Mo, Au) injected in the sedimentary rock of the Compton Formation of the St-Francois Group. Drill holes completed by JAG during the 1980's showed that the veins are associated with the creation of an important intrusive system of felsic porphyries and Mafic dykes. Mineralized showings of pyrite (Py), scheelite (W), molybdenite (Mo), stibine (Sb) and chalcopyrite (Cu) are exposed in the Lee tunnel located in the Northern section of the property, while pyritic galena and scheelite showings surface in the Lacombe tunnel found in the middle of the property and quartz veins rich in sphalerite (Zn), argentiferous galena (Pb-Ag), pyrite and cosalite were identified in the Southern portion of the property.

During the fall of 2010, JAG initiated a compilation of exploration work and small scale production done between 1951 and 1958 by St-Robert Metals Corporation, by Nouvelle Mining between 1972 and 1976 and between 1977 and 1984 by JAG itself. The geological and geophysical surface data has been digitalized and GIS integrated. The electrical resistivity Induced Polarization and seismic refraction data was also reprocessed and digitalized to evaluate the variability of these parameters in relationship to the depth and probable presence of intrusive associated mineralization. In this manner it was shown that the chargeability data tends to increase with Dipole (N=1 to N=6) spacing which suggests that the proportion of vein disseminated sulfides tend to increase at depth as they approach the prophyry intrusive. New maps combining historical geochemistry and geophysical data were also produced and suggest the presence of a 500 meter long anomalous zone rich in Pb, Ag, W and Mo, located immediately to the West of the Lacombe Tunnel. These maps will help in better delineating the zones which will be subject to more detailed exploration efforts.

In the spring of 2011 a high resolution gravity survey was completed on the property. Combined with MAG data the new gravity information permitted to better locate the contact between the intrusive and sedimentary rocks and to determine their thickness above the intrusive system.

A team lead by the geologist, Dr. Marc Richer-LaFlèche, Ph. D. of the INRS, is currently performing several surface geophysical surveys including audiomagnetotellurics, geoelectrical tomographic and Promis-10 electromagnetic frequential surveys. It will also complete the systematic sampling of the mineralized zones and prepare and analyze densitometry concentrates. Drilling is expected during the winter of 2011-2012.
