Jahia Partner Signifikant Launches Standards-Based eArchive Solution for Governments and Corporations

Users and the Public to Access E-Archives Through Jahia

GENEVA and WASHINGTON, DC--(Marketwire - February 9, 2011) - Jahia, the premier provider of web content integration software combining web, document, and portal features, today announced the release of Signifikant eArchive, a standards-based archiving solution for governments and corporations, developed by Swedish partner Signifikant.

The new eArchive solution enables national and state governments and other organizations to meet long-term preservation requirements following Open Archival Information Systems (OAIS) standards, and provides easy access to researchers and to the public. The Java-based solution stores records from diverse data sources in a SQL-database, following modern principles for layers and components. Users have web-based access through a Jahia content management portal, which also serves to provide uptime statistics, and support entry points to news, issues, and external systems. Additional features include automated data delivery, storage, access, and elimination, support for workflows and processes, issue management, role-based access control, tracing and reporting, and archiving of IT source code and documentation.

"The Signifikant eArchive solution goes beyond regulatory requirements to meet the increasing digital archiving needs of governmental agencies and corporations, and efficiently handles huge volumes of valuable historical records," said Elie Auvray, CEO and co-founder of Jahia Solutions Group SA. "Through this strategic partnership and Jahia's solid infrastructure, Signifikant clients can avail themselves of a secure, efficient, long-term solution that lets them centralize their archives and phase out old systems without information loss."

The Swedish Transport Agency, Stockholm's Läns Landsting, and several municipal counties in Sweden currently employ Signifikant solutions. To learn more about the new Signifikant eArchive solution, please visit http://www.signifikant.se/p/en/Earkiv/tabid/171/Default.aspx
