JAJAH Facebook Calls Now Available for iPhone

Free Calls From iPhones to Any Facebook Friend

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 14, 2011) - JAJAH (NYSE: TEF), the world's most innovative communications company, today released the JAJAH App for iPhone, which allows anyone to call online Facebook friends anywhere in the world in just one click.

The beta is now available in the US and Canada. This follows Tuesday's release of the JAJAH App for Android, which attracted thousands of downloads in the first 48 hours.

Calls to Facebook friends are free from JAJAH, and the person receiving the call only needs to be your friend on Facebook. No need for them to download anything or for them even to be a JAJAH member.

JAJAH CEO Trevor Healy: "Within hours of launching Facebook Calls for Android we saw thousands of calls, so we are very excited to bring this to iPhone owners. Calling has finally arrived in Facebook."

To make a Facebook Call:

  • Download the JAJAH App for iPhone from iTunes
  • Connect to Facebook
  • Select a friend from the "online friends" list
  • They will receive a message within Facebook chat advising of the call. Once they accept, the call is connected directly into their browser.

Calls to friends who aren't on Facebook are also simple and low cost with the JAJAH App. Contacts are automatically loaded from the phone for click to call, or simply enter a phone number. The app uses the Internet (WiFi, 3G, GPRS) to set up the call, but once connected it's a regular call, meaning excellent, reliable call quality and no big charges.

Anyone in the US and Canada can download the app, which is now in beta -- available in the US and Canada. Visit JAJAH Mobile App page to learn more.
