NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - June 9, 2008) - The Jamaica Clipper takes a break on the
Hudson River with captivating views of the Statue of Liberty before heading
to compete in the 570-mile sprint to Halifax. As part of the festivities
of Jamaica Week in New York, the Jamaica Clipper team set sail from the
North Cove Harbor hosting Minister of Tourism Edmund Bartlett and his
guests for a scenic ride around the Statue of Liberty.
Clipper Chairman Sir Robin Knox-Johnston, the first man to sail solo
non-stop around the world in 1968, and Skipper Simon Bradley were on board
to greet the Minister and to share in the excitement of Jamaica's
participation in the round the world yacht race which began on September
