Jamie Flynn Wins EUR6,500 in the Student Masters 2011

Limerick student wins EUR3,000 cash plus EUR3,500 seat in Irish Open 2011

DUBLIN, IRELAND--(Marketwire - March 22, 2011) -

The Student Masters event was at full capacity with 127 players in the Jackpot Card Club, Dublin on Saturday 19th March 2011. 18-year old student Jamie Flynn, from the University of Limerick, came out on top and took home €3,000 in cash plus a seat in the Irish Open worth €3,500.

Jamie Flynn will now represent students in the Irish Open 2011, one of the world's most prestigious poker events, and will fight it out against roughly 700 other poker players for his share of the €2.2 million estimated prize pool.

Gary Clarke finished in second place at the Student Masters, taking home €2,400, with John Allan receiving €1,800 for third place.

The tournament began on Saturday 19th March 2011 and featured a total prize pool of €12,000 plus an Irish Open seat worth €3,500 added by The buy-in for the tournament was €100 + €10 and 12 players made the money.
