Jan Gehl and Ken Greenberg Conclude Successful Speakers Series with Talk About the Future of Mississauga

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 12, 2007) - The City's successful "A Conversation About Building A City For The 21st Century" speakers series concludes with an insightful and thought-provoking talk about how Mississauga can enhance its downtown core to improve the quality of life and create wealth for our residents and future citizens.

Jan Gehl, Danish architect, professor of urban design and published author is internationally recognized as a leader in public spaces research, and is respected for his ability to enlighten audiences about his sensible, straightforward approach to improving the urban environment. He is joined on stage by Ken Greenberg, award winning teacher, lecturer, architect and urban designer who will share his experience in applying a holistic approach to growth management and community planning in the world class cities of Toronto, Amsterdam, Paris, New York and Boston.

A limited number of tickets are still available to the public. Anyone
wanting to attend the event is asked to please arrive at the Living Arts
Centre at 6:30 p.m. and they will be accommodated in the seats available.

The speaker series is the first step in the City's campaign, "A Conversation with Mississauga about Building a City for the 21st Century." All Mississauga residents are invited to attend the speaker series, volunteer for the visioning symposium or go to the "21st Century Conversation" website to participate in a discussion group, or complete surveys posted throughout the campaign.
