CONCORD, MA--(Marketwired - November 18, 2014) - Cristcot Inc., a global life sciences company focused on the development and commercialization of specialized drug delivery systems, today announced that the Japanese Patent Office has granted Cristcot a patent for the technology, which encompasses the company's commercially available suppository applicator, Sephure®.

The patent was awarded to the inventor Jennifer Davagian Ensign and the property rights have been assigned to Cristcot Inc. The patented technology, titled "Method and Apparatus for Inserting a Rectal Suppository," provides Cristcot with intellectual property protection in Japan.
