BURBANK, CA--(Marketwire - May 23, 2011) - "Don't Wanna Go Home," the new single from multi-platinum-selling singer and songwriter Jason Derulo, will be available for purchase exclusively through iTunes beginning today. The track, which Derulo co-wrote with producers The Fliptones, has earned the 21-year-old Miami native two of his biggest consecutive radio-add weeks to date with 117 total Pop stations across the country spinning it, including pick-up within 48 hours in Dallas, Los Angeles, Miami, Houston, and Detroit. It is also No. 1 Most-Added track at Rhythm and is currently spinning at 38 stations across the country, bringing the total audience to 12 million in its first eight days of release. The video, which features Melody Thornton from the Pussycat Dolls and was directed by Rich Lee (Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Pussycat Dolls), will have double-premieres on both MTV and VH1. "Don't Wanna Go Home" will air on Wednesday, May 25th, on MTV's "The Seven" at 5 p.m. and in primetime at 7:26 p.m. The video will also debut on VH1 on "Big Morning Buzz Live" on May 27th and on the channel's "Top 20 Countdown" (with Derulo appearing on the show) on May 28th. The video will stream exclusively at MTV.com and VH1.com's home pages for 24 hours beginning at noon on May 25th.
"Don't Wanna Go Home" is Derulo's first new music since he established himself as a pop sensation with a string of red-hot hits last year. It is the debut single from Derulo's eagerly awaited second album, Future History, which will be released by Beluga Heights/Warner Bros. Records in September.
