JavaOne 2011 Call for Papers Opens April 27, 2011

  • Oracle announced that the Call for Papers for JavaOne 2011 will open Wednesday, April 27, 2011
  • The JavaOne 2011 call for papers will be open until Monday, May 23 and Java developers, customers and partners are encouraged to submit proposals to present at the conference.
  • Tracks will include: Core Java Platform; Java SE, Client-Side Technologies and Rich User Experiences; Enterprise Service Architectures and the Cloud; Java EE Web Profile and Platform Technologies; Java ME, Mobile, Embedded, and Devices; The Java Frontier; and Emerging Languages, Tools and Techniques.
  • JavaOne 2011 will take place October 2-6, 2011 in San Francisco and will be a separate, standalone conference.
  • All JavaOne 2011 sessions, including keynotes, will take place exclusively in "The Zone" at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square, the Hotel Nikko and the Parc 55.
  • For JavaOne 2011, Oracle plans to increase the number of sessions, as well as the size of many session rooms, and is committed to repeating popular sessions throughout the week.
  • There will be a number of enhancements to The Zone from 2010; including additional networking areas and meeting space, as well as more maps, signage and onsite staff to answer questions.
  • JavaOne offers a unique opportunity to learn about Oracle's strategy for the Java platform. Attendees will also hear from industry leaders and Java technology experts on a wide range of technical topics.
