SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 7, 2014) - Waterfall, a mobile and social marketing platform provider, announced today the expansion of its sales team to meet brands' and agencies' increasing demand for mobile marketing solutions that can increase customer acquisition and retention via cross-channel campaigns.

Jay O'Sullivan takes over as General Manager West, Michael Weaver as General Manager East, Michael Ahearn as Vice President of Customer Development and Mark Shelley as Vice President Sales. The new sales team leadership will focus on expanding Waterfall's target markets and adding large consumer brands to its already stellar customer base.

"While we have consistently experienced double-digit growth year over year, we continue to push ourselves to exceed our sales and revenue goals," said Matt Sechrest, Co-Founder and CEO, Waterfall. "We are building a team of top people who have successfully sold industry leading mobile and social marketing software that empowers marketers to deliver a truly personalized message. I'm looking forward to the great things that are sure to come from this powerhouse team."

Together, Waterfall's latest hires bring more than 40 years of mobile marketing experience. Jay O'Sullivan worked previously as a partner at Extended Footprint, a mobile marketing development agency, and was the former Vice President of Sales at iLoop Mobile (now Archer). Michael Weaver comes from Hipcricket, where he was Vice President of Advertising Strategy and Sales, and he previously founded Third Screen Media, which was acquired by AOL. Michael Ahearn co-founded iLoop Mobile, where he served as Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Customer Development, and Mark Shelley has held VP-level sales positions at Archer Mobile, Pentaho, Trilibis Mobile and LSN Mobile.

"I've known about Waterfall for quite some time, and have always been impressed by the team's creativity, innovation, and collaborative culture," said O'Sullivan. "So, when this opportunity came up, I jumped at the chance to get on board with a company that has a great product, and a clear vision. I look forward to helping Waterfall get to the next phase of growth and revenue."

Weaver echoed O'Sullivan's sentiments, "Coming from another company in the mobile marketing space, I'm very familiar with not only the industry, but the technology that brand marketers and agencies need to increase customer engagement and loyalty. Waterfall is the only mobile marketing technology provider I've seen that has a vision for what customers need not just now, but in the future."
