Jean Nelson Joins Allocade as VP of Marketing

Veteran Healthcare Industry Executive to Lead Company's Marketing Department

MENLO PARK, CA--(Marketwire - May 31, 2011) - Healthcare industry veteran Jean M. Nelson has joined Allocade, Inc., the developer of the healthcare industry's only expert (A.I.) software system that optimizes schedules for medical procedures in real-time as conditions change. As the company's new vice president of marketing, Nelson, will lead and oversee all strategic marketing programs and sales support tactics for Allocade and its On-Cue® Expert Software System.

With more than 20 years of executive experience in healthcare marketing, Nelson worked and consulted with several medical technology companies, from early-stage development through launch and revenue generation. As the vice president of marketing at Aspect Medical Systems, a venture-backed medical device company with a successful IPO in 2000, Nelson worked with the founding team to create a new market for the company's BIS technology, a direct measure of the level of consciousness during anesthesia and sedation. During her tenure, the company grew in annual corporate revenue from zero to over $35 Million in less than five years. Nelson also held positions in marketing and business development with Nellcor, and served as a consultant for Bain & Company, Inc. in their hospital consulting practice.

Nelson holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering from Lehigh University, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
