Jefferson Lines Expands Arkansas Service

TEXARKANA, AR--(Marketwire - Oct 30, 2012) - On Monday, October 29, Jefferson Lines bus company launched a new route connecting Ft. Smith, AR, and Texarkana. The route will include two daily routes round trip between the two cities, and will facilitate Jefferson Lines adding bus service to several other Arkansas communities, including De Queen, Mena and Lockesburg. "We are excited to bring Jefferson Lines' trademark comfortable ride and quality customer service to this community," said Kevin Pursey, Jefferson Lines Director of Marketing and Culture. "This is going to be a real benefit to our passengers, especially those going from Kansas City to Texarkana."

The new expansion will eliminate a bus transfer in Ft. Smith, which means passengers stay on the same bus from Kansas City all the way to Texarkana. "It'll be a shorter, easier ride," said Pursey. "And it's really going to open up new areas for us to service."

From the new service areas in Arkansas, Jefferson Lines will continue to connect with existing intercity bus networks. This will make it more convenient for passengers to travel the area and points beyond, such as Shreveport and Dallas.
