JEMTEC Provides GPS Technology in CSC Pilot

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 18, 2008) - JEMTEC (TSX VENTURE:JTC) ("JEMTEC" or the "Company"), the leading provider of integrated technology systems for community based corrections in Canada, is pleased to announce the start of a Correctional Service of Canada ("CSC") GPS pilot program which will see CSC clients monitored by the Company's GPS services. This pilot program will be located in Ontario and is facilitated through JEMTEC's Nova Scotia Agreement. Based on the results, options to extend the program across Canada will be examined by CSC.

The pilot program will operate under the expertise that has been developed in partnership between Nova Scotia and JEMTEC. While the CSC will use Nova Scotia's electronic monitoring systems, it will be responsible for monitoring offenders during the pilot program. The one-year pilot program, which will begin in September 2008, will include monitoring of up to 30 offenders in the Province of Ontario.
