JEMTEC Wins New Provincial and Federal Government Contracts

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Feb. 17, 2009) - JEMTEC (TSX VENTURE:JTC) ("JEMTEC" or the "Company"), the leading provider of integrated technology systems for community based corrections in Canada, has received notice that the Company was selected by the Newfoundland Department of Justice to provide their province wide electronic monitoring technology over the next two years with an option to select a third year.

The Company has also been notified that it was the preferred bidder to provide GPS tracking technology to certain federal agencies in Canada under an agreement which will commence with a one year lease and has an option for extension up to three years. JEMTEC is also pleased to report that it has seen an increase in the Private Bail Monitoring Segment of its business since the New Year.
