Jerry Kennelly Joins Nimble Storage Board of Directors

Silicon Valley and Technology Industry Veteran Brings a Long Track Record of Effective Executive Management to High Growth Storage Company


SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwired - Apr 16, 2013) - Today Nimble Storage, the leading provider of flash-optimized hybrid storage solutions, today announced that Jerry Kennelly, chairman of the board of directors and CEO of Riverbed, has joined the company's board of directors. Kennelly brings more than 30 years of strategic management and technology experience to Nimble Storage's board including major roles as an early executive or founder in three successful startup companies and two very successful IPOs. Kennelly has a long track record of effective executive management in high growth, innovative technology companies, both large and small.

Kennelly co-founded Riverbed in May 2002 and currently serves as chairman of the board of directors and chief executive officer. He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the Dominican University of California. Prior to founding Riverbed, Kennelly spent six years at Inktomi Corporation, an infrastructure software company, where he served as executive vice president, chief financial officer and secretary. Prior to joining Inktomi in October 1996, Kennelly worked for Sybase, Inc., an infrastructure software company, in a number of senior financial and operational positions, Oracle Corporation as finance director for US operations, and Hewlett-Packard Company as worldwide sales and marketing controller for the Tandem Computers Division. Kennelly holds a Bachelor's degree from Williams College and a Master's degree from the New York University Graduate School of Business Administration.
