ENCINITAS, CA--(Marketwire - November 19, 2007) -, the most comprehensive Web site for simple, clear and credible information about Jesus, today announced that survey results from a Campus Crusade Global Media Outreach program, which refers students to the Jesus 101 course, came back overwhelmingly positive. A survey of 1,000 course finishers showed that 93 percent "increased much" in their appreciation of Jesus, 87 percent "increased much" in their knowledge of Jesus and 93 percent would recommend Jesus 101 to a friend. In a follow-up survey, students reported their favorite aspects of the course include the quality of the questions, freedom to express one's view, reading the views of others, scholarly articles that are "practical and down to earth" and a curriculum that is short and concise.

"We recognize that is a great starting point for people who want to learn about Jesus," said Mark Weimer, CEO of Global Media Outreach, an Internet ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. "We are interested in trying some more areas where we work together."

"We are grateful for Global Media Outreach's willingness to refer students to Jesus 101 studies," said Vip Patel, president and founder of "The survey results clearly demonstrate that is a productive and effective learning tool."

Jesus 101 is an introductory course that surveys Jesus' life and teachings with an emphasis on Jesus' own quotations. It is designed for those willing to study one hour per week for six weeks. Each week, students complete two 30-minute lessons. Participants are reminded of upcoming lessons by e-mail on Monday and Thursday of each week. Coursework is designed to be completed within three days of notification.

The Jesus 101 course allows the introductory student of Jesus, with or without personal faith, to:

-- Gain a high quality, high-level overview of Jesus' life and words;

-- Appreciate the richness and depth of Jesus' teaching and character; and

-- Be equipped with learning techniques to further study of Jesus' words on their own without third party interpretation.

The Jesus 101 course equips experienced students of Jesus to explore new angles from the perspective of a first century Jew, and also to help someone else study Jesus.
