Jet Aviation Installs EMS SATCOM Cabin Network Accelerator

eNfusion Broadband CNX Provides The Services of a Number of Components and Reduces Communications Costs Attention: Business/Financial Editor, Tech/Telecomm Editor OTTAWA--(CCNMatthews - April 26, 2005) - EMS SATCOM, a division of EMS Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq:ELMG)) is pleased to announce the successful installation and operation of its eNfusion CNX(tm) (cabin network accelerator) on a Falcon 900 aircraft.

"This is another great success for EMS SATCOM and Jet Aviation," said Jean Menard, director of Commercial Sales. "We've delivered more than a dozen eNfusion CNX's for both military and commercial applications in the last three months. As the first cabin network accelerator on the
market, it boosts the performance of our HSD-128 terminal, combining all cabin voice and data services into one advanced package."

The CNX was installed by Palm Beach-based Jet Aviation on its customer's Dassault Falcon 900, and has been in operation since late 2004. The aircraft, which was due for a significant refurbishment, is now equipped with the complete eNfusion broadband communications

"Our customer sees significant advantages in installing the CNX as part of the cabin communications system," said Brian Wilson, avionics and engineering manager at Jet Aviation. "Its compression feature allows our customer to access e-mail, the Internet and videoconferencing applications, yet it reduces costs by shortening the amount of airtime
required for transmission."

The CNX is a fully aviation-certified, multi-function cabin network device that replaces a mixture of commercial off-the-shelf networking hardware, including: hubs, routers Ethernet switches, multiplexors and 802.11g wireless-access points. It is the first network accelerator to provide integrated cabin communications to passengers, with up to 8 Ethernet connections. Supporting multi-channel HSD configurations and data compression with "Expand Networks" functionality, it provides Swift64 services, including MPDS, and is Inmarsat SwiftBroadband ready. The CNX is light. At only 12 pounds, it saves 2.5-to-three pounds on the traditional combination of devices and takes up half volume - a significant plus for installation on smaller aircraft. The CNX is easy to configure, doing the work of Ethernet, serial and ISDN data routing, and it is compatible with virtually any Satcom system.

About the Full eNfusion Solution

As part of the aircraft's refurbishment, Jet Aviation installed the full eNfusion satellite communications system. The bundled package consists of: EMS SATCOM's high-gain AMT 50 antenna and tail-mount radome, an HSD-128 transceiver and the CNX. While the components are compatible with virtually any Satcom system, this system gives passengers broadband access to vital resources such as email, videoconferencing, the Internet and a secure link to the user's private network.
