Jim Franklin Joins SendGrid as Chief Executive Officer

TechStar Mentor and Oracle Alumni Brings Vision, Strategy for the Future of Email

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - March 9, 2011) - SendGrid, the smart choice for managing and delivering email, today announced the appointment of Jim Franklin as its CEO. A mentor for TechStars and the Founder Institute, Franklin brings over 18 years' expertise in technology management to SendGrid and looks to build the platform that will solve the problems companies face with email today.

Mr. Franklin most recently served as the Vice President of Enterprise Performance Management and General Manager of the Crystal Ball Global Business Unit of Oracle Corporation. Formed in 2007, The Crystal Ball Global Business Unit stemmed from Oracle's acquisition of Hyperion Solutions where he served as VP and General Manager. Previously, Mr. Franklin held the roles of Decisioneering's CEO, CFO and VP of Sales prior to Decisioneering's acquisition by Hyperion. Mr. Franklin was also the founder of and the CFO of Vericept Corporation.
