Canadian business leaders share their success stories to empower students at Ryerson University
TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Feb. 6, 2014) - On February 11, 2014, INSPIRE will reach out to Ryerson University students for an event featuring some of Canada's most accomplished leaders. Working with the INSPIRE steering committee members who have found great success in entrepreneurship, Ryerson University's student committee has developed a program designed to encourage fellow students to achieve their career goals in a crowded market. Students will have the chance to interact with Jim Ragas, President of Second Cup International and former Baton Rouge CEO, and Simon Parmar, Managing Director of the Canadian Securities Institute, to learn more about their unique business experience, as well as the unpredictable path towards success.
"Organizations like INSPIRE are so important to economic development across the globe," says Jim Ragas. "As industries and economies shift, we need fresh faces, and new and innovative thinking to step outside of the box and push ourselves to grow."
INSPIRE is about empowering young people to realize their potential through sharing of experiences and advice by Canadian leaders in various fields. Guided by a steering committee, student committee and an advisory board that includes Enrico Colantoni (Hollywood Actor), Rick Campanelli (Host of ET Canada), Rita DeMontis (National Food Editor at Sun Media) and Alex Rechichi (CEO of Crave it Restaurant Group).
