Jimmy Kimmel Accepts the Challenge by MR MIKES® SteakhouseCasual to Down a Caesar to Celebrate Canada Day

VANCOUVER, BC--(Marketwired - July 01, 2016) - Canada has much to celebrate this Canada Day and MR MIKES® SteakhouseCasual, with the help of millions of Canadians, have added one more great thing for Canada to be proud of. Jimmy Kimmel, one of America's most beloved late-night talk show hosts, has accepted the challenge set by Canadians across the country and MR MIKES® SteakhouseCasual to down a Caesar, Canada's national cocktail to mark our country's 149th birthday. Canadians are invited to tune in on MR MIKES'® social media channels by visiting @MrMikesOnline on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to see Jimmy Kimmel man up by downing our Caesar.

The "Caesar Campaign," as it's affectionately known, officially wraps up today, July 1, with Jimmy Kimmel accepting the challenge from millions of Canadians to down a Caesar on behalf of his fellow Americans, proving he's not afraid of a little clam juice after all. Over 30,000 postcards, thousands of social media posts and a strong word of mouth campaign from Canadians combined to capture Jimmy's attention during the course of the six-week challenge.

"We Canadians have a lot of Canadian pride and we are not afraid to show it. From sharing basketball, Ryan Gosling and Ryan Reynolds, and now the Caesar, we as a country share a lot with our neighbours down south, and we are happy to do so," says Robin Chakrabarti, an owner of RAMMP Hospitality Brands Inc., the company behind MR MIKES®. "Because of the effort and pride of Canadians across the country, Jimmy Kimmel has graciously stepped up to the plate to accept our 'Caesar Challenge' and build bridges, not walls, across the border on the weekend when both great countries celebrate their birthdays. We want to thank Canadians that joined the movement and we hope Canadians across the country will enjoy a Caesar with us on Canada Day."

The campaign began on May 19, National Caesar Day, when MR MIKES® SteakhouseCasual released a campaign video announcing the "Caesar Challenge." MR MIKES® SteakhouseCasual rallied Canadians to watch the campaign video, visit the campaign website at, fill out an online postcard to Jimmy Kimmel telling him why Canada and the Caesar are great, as well as follow along with the campaign via social media.

Fans are encouraged to join in as the campaign wraps up on social media using the hashtag #CaesarChallenge or by following @MrMikesOnline on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat.
