Joey Scarpellino recently participated in the making of a 'fake trailer' for the movie in development 'Le Super-Héros Québécois'.

The purpose of this trailer is to generate interest from production companies and obtain funding to produce the above titled feature film.

This project in development was created by writer/director Dominique Adams. The filming of the trailer took place in Montreal last October, produced by Adams who also wrote, directed and edited said trailer.

"It is very difficult to get funding for a movie from government agencies or otherwise, unless you are very established and experienced in the business. Even if it's a superhero movie, it can be produced on a reasonable budget because the emphasis of the story is not based on special effects, but rather, on the story and the main characters." said Adams.

"I want the characters, the story and action scenes to take over the movie instead of special effects. Imagine the relationship and the dialogues between Mr. Miyagi and Daniel San of the original 'Karate Kid'. Just like that movie, the strength will lay within the story itself.

In order for it to make sense without special effects… Imagine a 'PREQUEL' to a superhero movie, the story BEFORE the hero discovers his powers" claims Adams.

After reading the screenplay of the actual feature film, actor Joey Scarpellino (Les Parent) confirmed his interest for the role offered.

"Since having limited experience in the business, potential investors or producers have a tendency to fear the end results. Hence the reason for the 'fake-trailer', it allows me to offer a preview of what the end results will look like. The image quality, the tone of the film and the overall photography of what I can do.

I'm really happy with the work I've done with this trailer and hope to be able to offer the entire film to the public. I believe in this project and trust that, given a quality entertaining superhero movie, it will appeal to the masses and that people will come to see it.' Explains Adams.

"One aspect sought by most producers is the commercial appeal. I hope that the trailer will be able to generate a sufficient viral public interest to show the commercial potential of the film. If all goes well, we would be able to get a producer for this project, along with funding so that we can start production during the summer of 2015 and for a release date the following year (wishful thinking) of June 24th, for the 'St-Jean Baptiste' summer celebration." Concludes Adams.

'Le Super-Héros Québécois' is a family action film with a touch of 'feel-good' comedy. It tells the story of two brothers, Patrick (Joey Scarpellino) and Pierre Larochelle.

Estranged for many years, they are reunited (against their will) after their mother's death to avenge her. A common goal that will take them through different adventures and eventually, fight against crime.
