John M. Gatti Joins Entertainment Practice at Stroock as Chair of Its Entertainment Litigation Practice

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwire - May 4, 2009) - Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, a national law firm with offices in Los Angeles, New York and Miami, announced today that John M. Gatti, recently recognized as one of Hollywood's top 100 entertainment lawyers, joined as Chair of its entertainment and media litigation practice. Gatti joins the Los Angeles office's entertainment practice that includes well-known entertainment finance and transactional attorneys Schuyler Moore, Matthew Thompson, and Jeff Shumway and entertainment litigators Barry Langberg and Daniel Rozansky.

Gatti comes to Stroock with more than 21 years of complex business litigation experience, with an emphasis in the entertainment and media industries. Gatti possesses substantial trial experience and he is best known for the landmark case, Alan Ladd, Jr., et al. v. Warner Bros. Entertainment in which he successfully represented Alan Ladd, Jr. and Jay Kanter.

Gatti's addition marks the second significant partner to join Stroock's expanding entertainment practice in a little over a month.
