Shackleton brings more than 30 years of experience in the enterprise software space. He will serve as a key leader of the company's board of directors and strategic advisor to the Flexera Software management team, helping the company manage its rapid growth through its next phase of development.
Flexera Software has staked a clear leadership position in defining the Application Usage Management space, enjoying rapid expansion by enabling software producers, intelligent device manufacturers, enterprises and governments to maximize their return on investment for the entire software lifecycle. Mr. Shackleton most recently served as a director of OpenText, a content management solution provider, as its President and Chief Executive Officer from 2005 to 2012. Prior to that position, he served as president of Platinum Solutions, the consulting division of Platinum Technologies, between 1995 and 1998. In previous roles, Mr. Shackleton has also served as Vice President of Professional Services at Sybase, Vice President of Global Services at ViewStar Corporation, and Vice President of Professional services at Oracle.
