Jose J. Rodriguez Joins Burns & McDonnell in Orlando as Transmission & Distribution Project Manager

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Nov 20, 2015) - Jose J. Rodriguez has joined the Burns & McDonnell transmission and distribution team in the rapidly growing Orlando office as a project manager. An electrical engineer with a proven track record of industry leadership and project management, Rodriguez brings a lengthy resume of technical experience specializing in protection and controls, relay settings and communications engineering for the utility industry. Over the course of his 12-year career, Rodriguez has earned a reputation for managing multiple projects on tight deadlines and implementing new engineering standards that meet requirements for greater reliability and power quality.

Rodriguez is active with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Power and Energy Society (PES), serving as IEEE Senior Member. He is active on the IEEE Power System Relaying Committee, a group that is helping define and verify important new technical standards for the power industry worldwide. Rodriguez also serves as an adjunct professor for Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico-Orlando Campus, where he teaches Power courses in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez Campus and a master's degree in engineering and construction management from the University of Puerto Rico-Orlando Campus.
