Josh Dreller of Visual IQ to Moderate Social Attribution Panel at Digital Analytics Association's Dallas Symposium

Panel to Showcase Best Practices to Overcome Social Media Measurement Challenges

NEEDHAM, MA--(Marketwire - Feb 20, 2013) - Visual IQ, the leading cross channel marketing attribution software provider, today announced that Josh Dreller, Sr. Director, Client & Industry Solutions, will moderate a panel for digital marketers at the Digital Analytics Association's Dallas Symposium. Dreller will moderate a highly anticipated session called "Social Marketing Analytics: How to Overcome the Measurement Challenge," which will explore current best practices on how to approach social attribution.

What:
During the interactive session, panelists will provide real-world examples of how to approach social attribution, from rudimentary tagging strategies to dealing with partial data sets that often accompany social tracking. A seasoned digital marketing expert and fluent technologist, Dreller is uniquely equipped to lead the discussion on the subject and recently authored a Visual IQ whitepaper called "Four Crucial Takeaways on Attribution & Facebook ROI."

Why:
Most marketers are promoting products using a variety of channels, and it is not always easy to measure and assign credit to online and offline activities. This is where marketing attribution, the art and science of figuring out how different channels lead to a conversion, comes to play. As social media enters the mix, measuring ROI becomes even more complex due to the expanding array of tactics that advertisers are using to market their products via social channels. This session will explore how advertisers can overcome the specific measurement challenges associated with social marketing through attribution.

Where:
The Digital Analytics Association (DAA) helps organizations overcome the challenges of data acquisition, exploration, deduction and application. The DAA Dallas Symposium will focus on cross channel analytics and attribution and feature thought provoking presentations from leading digital marketers. The event will take place at the University of Texas at Dallas' Naveen Jindal School of Management, 800 West Campbell Road, Richardson, TX 75080.
