Amanda Belzowski is a nationally recognized child philanthropist and entrepreneur who has raised over $151,000 to fix kids' hearts and inspired thousands. On Sunday, May 15, Joshua will be hosting the JOSHUA'S Taking Over AMANDA'S LEMONADE STAND at 33 Post Road, at Bayview Avenue and Post Road in North Toronto, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Joshua, with the help of his big sister Amanda, will be fixing kids' hearts by supporting Save a Child's Heart Foundation Canada and the SickKids Labatt Family Heart Centre.

Amanda has been fundraising and raising awareness about getting involved since she was little. This year she has added teaching her Young Entrepreneur Course to kids 9-14 years old, a Teen Event called Lemon-Stock on June 26 at a great venue 99 Sudbury. Just announced that DANNY FERNANDES, the Best Male Artist of the Year at the Top Choice Awards, will be headlining Amanda's new Lemon-Stock which will be raising money to "fix kids' Hearts and save Soles. Amanda also loved working in the Provincial Government as a Legislative Page this year and was able to tell this to Prime Minister Harper when she met him recently.

Amanda has accomplished all of this, in addition to the upcoming LEMONADE STAND, SUNDAY MAY 15 which she is proudly passing to 5 year old Joshua (formerly of the Cookie Counter fame). Amanda Belzowski is only 13 3/4 years old. Amanda is also working on a book for kids and teens that will be useful to families with young children, and older teens as well.

Save a Child's Heart is humanitarian project that provides life saving cardiac care to children from developing countries. The SickKids Labatt Family Heart Centre, established through the generosity of the Labatt Family in 2007, is comprised of Cardiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, Cardiac Critical Care and Cardiac Research at SickKids.

Joshua and Amanda hope to bring their total donations raised to over $200,000 with this year's event, and are seeking donors to match the funds raised this year so that each charity will receive the full amount raised at the Lemonade Stand.

One-hundred percent of the money donated to support Amanda and Joshua's efforts goes directly to Save a Child's Heart Foundation Canada and SickKids Foundation, and all the products, activities and auction items at the Lemonade Stand event have been donated by individuals and corporate sponsors.

This annual event operates with no overhead, but just hard work and dedication, is unique and inspiring – just like Amanda and Joshua.

Amanda (and Joshua) have their own website specifically for fundraising and raising awareness at There you can find information about what they are doing and how to sponsor them. Amanda's website is directly linked to her fundraising pages on Save a Child's Heart and Sick Kids' Foundation websites.

Disney has once again donated 4 All Day Passes to their parks and Bowmanville Zoo has donated 2 family Seasons Passes. Once again there will be great toys from Mega Brand and Spinmaster.

Absolute Tents and Events Services has donated the use of tents for the occasion, and It's My Potty is supplying a deluxe portable washroom.

Joshua (and Amanda) hope that hundreds of people and families will visit them and enjoy the lemonade and the entertainment for this great cause to fix kids' hearts at home and all over the world through Sick Kids and Save a Child's Heart.

An award-winning young philanthropist both here in Canada and in the United States, Amanda is a recognized and highly sought after public speaker on issues of philanthropy, community involvement and entrepreneurship having presented at conferences, schools and Universities across Ontario as well as at the Toronto Stock Exchange. She has recently met, taken photographs with and received congratulations from Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Governor General The Honourable David Johnson, Lieutenant David Onley, Premier McGuinty and Mayor Rob Ford. Amanda has handed each one a hand written invitation to both the Lemonade Stand and Lemon-Stock and a few have said that they will try to attend with their kids and even grandchildren. A number of local politicians have already confirmed that they will be dropping by. Joshua also personally invited many RCMP officers that he met while speaking to the various politicians.

Amanda's Young Entrepreneur Course was a huge success and has already led to new youth initiated fundraisers such as 9 yr old Kalyn Kwan's Kid's for Cancer Lemonade Stand last week that Amanda and Joshua attended to show their support. Over $450 was raised and the pride and satisfaction on this new social entrepreneur was evident to all. Amanda taught about the importance of helping out in your community, and she believes that "the most important thing is to teach everyone that you are Never Too Little to Make a Difference in this world and anything is possible when you put your heart into it" I do it one glass of lemonade at a time," says Amanda.

Amanda will be passing on this message at the Joshua's Taking Over Amanda's Lemonade Stand on May 15 from 11:00am to 3:00pm.
