Journey Resources Corp. and Trio Gold Corp.: 2006 Exploration Drill Program Results on the Empire Mine Project

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Nov. 16, 2006) - Journey Resources Corp. ("Journey")(TSX VENTURE:JNY) and Trio Gold Corp. ("Trio")(TSX VENTURE:TGK)(PINK SHEETS:TROOF) are pleased to announce further results from the 2006 exploration program on the Empire Mine Project (the "Property").

Journey is currently earning a 50% lease interest in and to certain mineral claims comprising the Property. The Property is a polymetallic skarn deposit containing copper, zinc, gold and silver located in the Alder Creek Mining District in Custer County, Idaho. The mine is located on the east-facing slope of the White Knob Mountains approximately three miles west of Mackay, Idaho. The Property consists of 26 patented mining claims, 6 mill-site claims and 21 unpatented mining claims (the "Claims").

Historical estimates obtained from a report, originally prepared by Cambior Exploration USA, Inc. in 1997, used the measured mineral resource block models to scope mineable quantities of material within the known deposit. Cambior's engineering group estimated the mineable portion of the deposit as 33 million tons grading 0.44% copper, 0.20% zinc, 0.25 gpt gold, and 6.6 gpt silver at a 1:1 mining ratio. (This data is a historical resource estimate under National Instrument 43-101; it has not been sufficiently verified by a qualified person to be classified as current mineral resources. Neither Journey nor Trio is treating these historical estimates as current resource estimates; therefore, these historical estimates should not be relied upon).

To date, 33 holes consisting of 5 core and 28 RC, have been completed in the AP pit area of the Empire Mine. Two of these RC holes had no recovery. In total, sixty-five holes are planned, consisting of infill and exploration holes. Drill results from six holes have been received and are summarized in the table below, as are redefined results from holes JDD01, 02, and 03, (originally announced in a press release dated August 24, 2006).

All intercepts are in exoskarn (limestone), magnetite skarn, and endoskarn (granite porphyry) associated with the Mackay stock. Additional results are expected within the next several weeks.

Journey is investigating the potential for a SX-EW copper-zinc operation on the oxide ores present in the AP pit area, along with recovery of the precious metals. The evaluation of the deeper sulfide resource at Empire is planned in the future. Phil van Angeren, P.Geol., is the Qualified Person for Journey on the Empire Project. Sampling is supervised under rigid quality control, and ALS Chemex in Elko, Nevada and Vancouver produces all assays.

The primary objective of the 2006 work program on the Empire Mine Project is to complete a feasibility study by the end of 2006. The drilling to date is providing the necessary information and is in the process of being compiled. As the winter weather has arrived at Empire we have made a decision to stop drilling for the season. A drill program is planned for next year.

Jack Bal, President of Journey, commented: "We are very pleased with the recent results of the 2006 exploration program on the Empire Mine Project and plan to continue toward our objective of completing a feasibility study in the very near future."

The management of Trio comments: "We are pleased with the forward progress that Journey is making on this project. The results from Journey's nine initial drill holes combined with the previously drilled 208 holes support Cambiors' drill results of 1997."
