TWISP, WA--(Marketwired - October 16, 2014) - This afternoon, J.P. King Auction Company auctioned the handsome corporate retreat Tice Ranch, located just outside Okanogan National Forest in Washington for $3.108 million.
A half dozen prospective buyers registered and eagerly bid on Tice Ranch for more than a half hour. The proud new owners of Tice Ranch are the newly local-to-Twisp family Robert Howson, Jr. and his wife Laura Howson.
The Howson's recently moved to Twisp from Park City, Utah, with the idea of moving back to Park City and spending summers in Twisp. "When we saw this property was going to auction we decided to look into it and ended up buying it! As a tribute to the Tice family, we will continue to keep the Tice Ranch name with Diane Tice's blessing," said Robert C. Howson, Jr.
"Our successful marketing campaign attracted inquiries from New York to Arizona, Washington to Texas, to include a bidder phoning in from southern California. This is an iconic property. It was a successful auction with a good field of bidders and active bidding," said Craig King, President and CEO, J.P. King Auction Company.

The ranch includes the main lodge and, adjacent by a walkway, a log house. Both auctioned fully furnished. In addition, the property includes two guest homes, a caretaker's residence, stable, barns and outbuildings.
