Juan Luis Guerra Brings His "Cookies and Cream" to Miami and New York City in September

Legendary Dominican Singer-Songwriter Juan Luis Guerra Will Play at Miami's American Airlines Arena on September 12th and at New York City's Madison Square Garden on September 18th

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - March 16, 2015) - Legendary bachata superstar Juan Luis Guerra will debut live performances of songs from his new album "Todo Tiene Su Hora"  in Miami and New York City this fall. The famed singer-songwriter is scheduled to play at Miami's American Airlines Arena on Saturday, September 12th. Six days later, on Friday, September 18th, the author of "Ojala Que Llueva Café" will delight his fans at New York City's Madison Square Garden

Guerra will come into these two huge and renowned venues with brand new material from his new hit album, "Todo Tiene Su Hora," named after one of its songs, a tender yet upbeat and inspirational theme that says, in part, "… we should all wait for the right moment because true love will find us." The album is the third Billboard No. 1 achieved by Guerra

The new album also includes the single "Tus Besos," which spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Airplay chart. The song is getting rave reviews for its retro style and orchestration with a 1950s feeling, doo-wop and tubular bells and 12-string guitars. Some critics say it's reminiscent of the Beatles.

Another hot song in the new album is "Cookies and Cream," written by Guerra's famous merengue compatriot, Johnny Ventura. The musical piece talks about social issues in the Dominican Republic saying: "What is good is called bad, and the bad is called good… The oven is not ready for galleticas, cookies and cream."

Guerra dedicated the song "Dime Nora Mia" to his wife, Nora. Guerra and his wife travel frequently to New York City and the song reflects that, saying in part: "In New York, the nights are colder but with your company, there is nothing better." The song also speaks about going to see the Yankees play the Red Sox at Yankee Stadium! This hit song is sure to get a big reaction at MSG!
