Judicial Recount to Be Held in the Electoral District of Hochelaga


GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Oct. 29, 2015) - The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Marc Mayrand, announced today that there will be a judicial recount of the votes in the electoral district of Hochelaga (Quebec). Following validation of the results in the electoral district, the difference between the two leading candidates was 541 votes. A candidate requested the recount.

The recount will be conducted by a judge of the Quebec Superior Court and will begin on Monday, November 2 at 2260 Bennett Avenue in Montreal. The results of the recount will be published on the Elections Canada website after the recount is completed.
