Jumio Names Michael Orlando Chief Sales Officer


PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 11, 2012) - Jumio, Inc., the fast growing online and mobile payments and ID verification company, today announced that Michael Orlando has joined the company as Chief Sales Officer. Michael brings more than 22 years of experience in the growth and development of successful teams and companies to Jumio, where he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of sales operations and the customer experience.

Most recently, Michael served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Services at CyberSource, where he oversaw all enterprise sales and professional services functions worldwide. During his tenure, Michael was responsible for driving revenue growth from $35 million to $340 million, increasing global department staff from 58 to 177, establishing new international offices in Singapore, China, Brazil, Australia, and Dubai, and implementing new enterprise-wide compensation and organizational structures. He served in a primary role during the acquisition of CyberSource by Visa Inc. in 2010, guiding the business strategy and assisting with the negotiation and execution of the transaction, which resulted in a $2 billion purchase price -- a 42 percent market premium.

A trusted senior executive, Michael has played a critical role advising CEOs, executive teams and boards of directors regarding strategic business decisions. Prior to his role at CyberSource, he held a variety of sales positions in a number of technology companies, including AVT Corporation, Comdial Corporation, Nitsuko America, and Inter-Tel.
