Jump Technologies, Inc. and Riverside Health System Named to Supply & Demand Chain Executive's SDCE 100 Top Supply Chain Projects for 2016

EAGAN, MN--(Marketwired - June 28, 2016) - Supply & Demand Chain Executive, the executive's user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, has selected Jump Technologies, Inc. as a recipient of an SDCE 100 Award for 2016 for a project with Riverside Health System based in Newport News, VA.

The SDCE 100 is an annual list of 100 great supply chain projects. These projects can serve as a guide for supply chain executives who are looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. These projects show how supply chain solution and service providers help their customers and clients achieve supply chain excellence and prepare their supply chains for success.

For Riverside Health, this project got underway as the supply chain team determined the manual processes supporting their internal scheduling, pick-up and delivery of supplies, specimens and other packages weren't meeting their needs for control and visibility. Internal customers didn't have a way to view status of items in transit, there was no easily-accessible audit trail, and at times, recipients reported packages as lost, when they had been actually delivered but lacked an electronic method to track each delivery.

The supply chain team agreed they needed a solution to meet the specific requirements for managing pick-ups and deliveries within the organization, and selected and implemented the InnerTrack™ Intrasite package tracking solution from Jump Technologies. This InnerTrack solution is used in health systems with numerous sites that use internal couriers to move packages within the organization, helping to automate manual processes, create visibility and document an electronic record of every transaction.

Using InnerTrack Intrasite with their couriers, Riverside Health is creating visibility to every item as pick-ups get scheduled, deliveries routed, materials transferred and routes completed. This implementation resolved one of the biggest issues Riverside faced, which was chain of custody related to the movement of packages throughout the health system. InnerTrack Intrasite is helping Riverside create an electronic internal audit trail that will benefit the overall organization. (Riverside Health Case Study)

"I congratulate Riverside Health for successfully driving automation into their multi-facility supply chain," said Sophie Rutherford, Vice President of Business Development, Jump Technologies. "Changing established business process is hard work. The team at Riverside Health, led by Thomas McVey, Director, Operations/Logistics Supply Chain Management and Ann Tyler, CMRP, Manager, Supply Chain Information Systems, focused on getting their internal customers ready for the transition, with training and support to create a smooth transition. With this preparation, and the simplicity of the InnerTrack solution, internal customers who were concerned about learning new technology became instant users and saw the benefit of tracking and immediate visibility to packages in transit each day."

"Our goal with 2016's SDCE 100 is to shine the spotlight on successful and innovative transformation projects that deliver bottom-line value to small, medium and large enterprises across the supply chain," says Ronnie Garrett, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. "The selected projects can serve as a roadmap for supply chain executives looking for new opportunities to drive improvement in their own operations. We congratulate all of our winners for a job well done!"
