Jury Decision in Project Data


OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - April 28, 2015) - Yesterday in the Superior Court of Ontario, a jury found several individuals and three information technology companies not guilty of 60 bid-rigging charges under subsection 47(2) of the Competition Act.

The Crown has 30 days to decide whether it will appeal this decision.

The Public Prosecution Service of Canada is responsible for prosecuting offences under federal jurisdiction in a manner that is free of any improper influence and that respects the public interest. The PPSC is also responsible for providing prosecution-related advice to law enforcement agencies across Canada.
