Just in Time for Election Day UCLA Extension Offers the November Election Program

Curriculum Examines the 2016 Ballot Takes a Look at Local Initiatives, California and Presidential Races With Political Experts

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - September 28, 2016) - The November Election, offered by UCLA Extension, explores local initiatives, California ballot measures and races, election reforms, financing, and the presidential election and more, over eight weeks leading up to election day.

Led by Robert Stern, JD, co-director, Center for Governmental Studies, The November Election, features experts and political strategists sharing insights on the numerous decisions facing voters on November 8th. The program is part of courses offered by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at UCLA.

Scheduled guest speakers are 9/29, Mikey Kantor, former Bill Clinton cabinet secretary and campaign chairman of the Bill Clinton campaign, former US Secretary of Commerce;10/6, Joel Fox, co-publisher and editor of the Fox & House Daily and former President of the Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association; 10/13, Sherry Bebitch Jeffe, NBC political analyst and Professor of the Practice of Public Policy Communication, USC Price School of Public Policy; 10/20, State Senator Ben Allen, chairman of the Senate Elections and Constitutional Amendments Committee; and 10/27, Fred Woocher, campaign finance attorney and named one of the 100 Most Influential Lawyers in California by the Los Angeles Business Journal.
