Justin Matthew Sargent Joins Cast for Reading of 'Lost In Love,' the Air Supply Musical

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - Apr 5, 2012) - Justin Matthew Sargent, currently appearing on Broadway in the leading role of 'Drew' in "ROCK OF AGES," has joined Tony-nominated "Rock Of Ages" alum and American Idol Constantine Maroulis for the April reading of "LOST IN LOVE," a new musical based on the hit songs of Air Supply and co-written by author Melissa Bell. Sargent has appeared on Broadway in "Bonnie and Clyde" and as a swing in "Rock of Ages."

Joining the Creative Team is Jonathan Ivie ("Jivie"), as Musical Director. After several years in regional theaters, Jivie makes his Broadway debut as a keyboard/accordion sub in the pit of the revival of EVITA starring Ricky Martin. Jivie music supervised the world premiere of "Rock the Presidents." Josh Freilich will be Assistant Musical Director. David M. Beris joins as Stage Manager.

Air Supply, the hit-making duo of Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, scored seven Top 5 singles in the 1980s with mega-hits including "All Out of Love," "The One That You Love," and "Making Love Out of Nothing at All." Air Supply will appear at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill in NYC on April 20.

Graham Russell, who composed many of Air Supply's hits, has written four new songs for the musical and is working hands-on with Bell in developing the new musical. Robyn Lee directs. A former Broadway performer ("Merlin, 5 6 7 8 Dance!") Ms. Lee has directed several Off Broadway shows ("Help" and "Desk") and is author of "In the Moment: The Art of Being" and "The Book of TABs: Meditations on Acting Life."

"Lost In Love" is set in England in the early 1900s and has a Downton Abbey feel. As royalty and emerging American wealth collide, two friends must decide to follow tradition or live for love.

Sargent will read the role of John Wilson, Margo's love interest, who is pushed aside by Margo's billionaire brother in favor of a charming Italian prince with little financial means, played by Maroulis. Sargent will be featured in such favorites as "Sweet Dreams," "I Can Wait Forever," and "Even The Nights Are Better."

The staged reading is scheduled April 23-24 in NYC. For information on obtaining an invitation, please email (Industry/invited only).
