JUXT Taps John "JJ" Jakubowski as Head of Creative

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 1, 2015) - JUXT, San Francisco-based creative innovation agency, today announced the appointment of John "JJ" Jakubowski as the new Head of Creative. Formerly of AKQA and Ogilvy & Mather, JJ is a highly decorated creative officer whose recognitions include an Academy Award, AD&Ds, ADCs, Addys, Clios, Cyber Lions, Emmys, GrAndys and OneShow.

JJ's appointment brings him together with another industry veteran -- JUXT's Principal Michael Polivka, formerly of TBWA\Chiat\Day and Hot Studio. "JJ is an awesome addition to JUXT," said Polivka. "He's joining us at an important time as we push our creative into hyperdrive. He lives for big ideas and embodies our shared vision of craft and utility. His mandate will be to take JUXT into new, exciting, and sometimes even scary places."

JJ has been named one of Advertising Age's "Top 10 Creatives To Watch." He was also instrumental in Creativity Magazine naming AKQA its Most Creative Agency in the World in 2008, as he led the creative direction for Xbox 360 and Coca-Cola at the agency's flagship office in San Francisco.

With a rich history of storytelling, technical inventiveness and creative leadership, JJ feels well positioned for success in an agency with deep roots in immersive experience development. "I love technology. I love making things and I'm naturally curious. JUXT is a perfect fit," said Jakubowski.
