Kalido Customer Daymon Worldwide Named a Finalist for Gartner Master Data Management Summit Excellence Award

Daymon's Gold Standard Initiative Relies on Clean Master Data to Improve Supply Chain Efficiency and Increase New Business Development

BURLINGTON, MA--(Marketwire - May 2, 2011) -

  • Daymon Worldwide selected as one of three finalists for Gartner's prestigious Master Data Management Excellence Award 2011
  • Daymon's MDM program relied on Kalido® MDM software and Streebo professional services to deliver its enterprise-wide master data management program

Kalido, the leading independent provider of data governance solutions, and Kalido services partner Streebo congratulate their customer Daymon Worldwide for its selection as a finalist for Gartner's Master Data Management (MDM) Summit Excellence Award. Daymon's MDM program is an anchoring element to the company's corporate-wide "Gold Standard" initiative, a technology platform that makes Daymon associates more effective and efficient by providing accurate information in real-time. As a result, Daymon employees can make confident decisions that will help drive sales and profitability and maximize the value proposition for Daymon's customers and supplier partners.

Daymon's MDM initiative is impacting every aspect of the business because it is the definitive source for all operational data. Most particularly, the program has a direct, measurable impact on areas such as supply chain efficiency, sales and order-to-cash. Today, the entire Daymon Connect program, with MDM as its centerpiece, is live enterprise-wide and impacting every employee in the organization.

Daymon's Gold Standard program employs a progressive approach to master data management, which ensures that no "bad" master data can enter the operational environment. By authoring all master data within Kalido® Master Data Management™ and also driving any changes and enrichment through Kalido MDM as well, Daymon can push quality master data out to each of its business applications and the data warehouse for use by business process owners and analysts.

Kalido services partner Streebo was integral to the implementation, helping Daymon develop a robust business information model that catered to the various downstream applications that were to consume the master data, and helping to implement the entire program. Streebo consultants designed and architected the operational MDM hub as well as implemented the inbound and outbound integration with various Daymon enterprise systems.

About the Gartner MDM Excellence Award
The Gartner MDM Excellence Award program highlights world-class MDM initiatives in order to broadly share the successes, challenges and insights practitioners experience. A review team from the Gartner analyst community evaluates and rates each entry, selecting finalists based on their accomplishments in The Seven Building Blocks of MDM, as outlined by Gartner: vision, strategy, metrics, governance, organization, processes and technology infrastructure.

The three finalists will present their case study to conference participants at Gartner's Master Data Management Summit 2011 in Los Angeles, May 4-6. Conference participants will vote on which of the finalists demonstrated the best example of MDM excellence, and a winner will be selected at the conference.

Abhi Beniwal, senior director of IT for Daymon Worldwide, said:

  • "The Gold Standard initiative may have seemed ambitious, but we were confident that with the right team, technology and partners in place, we would be able to achieve our goal. We can now deliver accurate information in real-time through our Kalido-based information management platform, and as a result, Daymon employees are materially improving sales and profitability. Kalido's unique capabilities and Streebo's implementation expertise have been essential to our success."

Mohammad Ovais, managing partner and co-founder at Streebo, said:

  • "Using Kalido, Daymon delivered a true multi-domain program -- managing location, products, suppliers, customers, and more -- all while implementing a mature data stewardship program that incorporates sophisticated workflow, support for master data authoring and operational synchronization. Congratulations to the team on a job well done!"

Charlie Doucot, vice president of worldwide sales for Kalido, said:

  • "Daymon's vision for master data management is among the most mature that we have seen. We worked closely with both Daymon and Streebo to maximize the inherent capabilities of not only Kalido MDM, but the entire Kalido Information Engine, to deliver a powerful information management platform. We are proud to have been an integral part of making Daymon's vision a reality."
