Kalpona Akter to speak on Bangladesh tragedy

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - Nov. 28, 2013) - More than seven months after the Rana Plaza factory collapse, thousands of victims are still waiting for compensation, and justice has not been done. Kalpona Akter, executive director of the Bangladesh Centre for Worker Solidarity (BCWS) will speak at a public meeting on Sunday about the underlying causes of the disaster, and the responsibilities of Canadian companies to provide just compensation to the victims and ensure no similar tragedies occur.
