Kansas City North Veterinarian Expands Hours to Include Saturdays

KANSAS CITY, MO--(Marketwire - Feb 12, 2012) - Animal Clinic of Boardwalk Square in Kansas City North has announced new Saturday clinic hours. The expanded hours are part of the veterinary clinic's commitment to meet the needs of busy pet owners and ensure pets receive quality care. Pet owners can schedule a Saturday appointment for wellness exams, vaccinations, dental cleanings or grooming. Pets may also be dropped off or picked up from boarding. The veterinary office offers a combination of traditional veterinary pet care and holistic services.

Kansas City North Veterinarian Dr. Billie Deam announced that her veterinary hospital, Animal Clinic of Boardwalk Square, is offering extended hours. The vet clinic is now open for routine wellness care, pet dentistry and pet grooming on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The veterinary hospital's regular weekday hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The clinic also offers later appointment times on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

"Between work and family commitments, we know that visiting the vet during the week can be a challenge," Deam said. "We never want a pet to miss out on important care because pet owners are too busy during the work week. That's why we are excited to announce our new Saturday office hours. Whether your pet needs a routine check-up, vaccinations or a grooming appointment, we are available to help."

Pet owners may schedule a Saturday appointment by contacting the clinic by phone or by using the online appointment request form on the clinic website. The form is available on the clinic's website, http://www.boardwalkanimalclinic.com.

"As a veterinarian, my top priority is being accessible for pets and their families," Deam said. "Not all vet clinics are able to offer Saturday hours. After listening to feedback from pet owners, we realized that Saturday morning is the ideal time for many busy working families to visit the vet."

Deam emphasized that her veterinary hospital is family-friendly, and that children are welcome to attend appointments with their parents.

"We are excited to welcome the entire family, including children, to their pet's appointment," Deam said. "This is a great opportunity to teach children about responsible pet ownership and the importance of preventive care for everyone in the family, including pets!"

Animal Clinic of Boardwalk Square provides full-service pet wellness care, and encourages all pet owners to schedule an annual wellness exam. During this visit, Dr. Deam will conduct a full physical, administer a fecal sample to check for parasites, and perform diagnostic blood work. Dr. Deam will also ensure that the pet is up to date on all critical vaccinations, including rabies.

"Since pets cannot easily tell us when they feel sick, regular visits are essential to monitor a pet's health," Deam said. "The earlier we can detect a potential health problem, the more we can do to help the pet."
